The Edit by Lana Mari
Coastal Country Living for Spring/Summer

For this edit with Morgan Doyles, I wanted to create a space that feels calm, grounded, and effortlessly elevated, a take on coastal country living that works beautifully in any home.
The foundation of the space starts with the seating. The soft neutral sofa brings a relaxed, timeless feel, while the deep green velvet sofa adds richness and depth. Together, they create that balance between lightness and structure, fresh for spring/summer, but still substantial enough to carry through the seasons.
At the centre, the oak coffee table introduces warmth through natural texture, anchoring the space without feeling heavy. In the dining area, the oval wooden table softens the layout and encourages flow, paired with upholstered chairs that add comfort and a subtle layer of texture. The mix of wood, fabric, and woven details keeps everything feeling considered, but not overdone.
The palette is intentionally simple — warm neutrals, soft creams, muted greens, and natural wood tones — lifted with touches of soft blue through accent cushions and ceramics. These cooler notes bring a lightness to the scheme and tie back to the coastal influence in a subtle, understated way.
One of the key pieces in the space is the landscape artwork, which acted as a quiet starting point for the entire edit. Its tones and softness helped guide the overall direction, creating a sense of cohesion across the room.
Rugs are used to gently zone the space, defining both the living and dining areas while adding softness underfoot. This layering helps the space feel more intentional and complete, even within an open setting.
Side tables and accessories are minimal but considered. Darker metal finishes add contrast, while ceramics, woven baskets, and greenery bring in that relaxed, lived-in quality that defines coastal country style. It’s not about filling the space, it’s about choosing pieces that feel right.
And my favourite, is the stunning oval table, paired with two types of dining chairs to add interest and speak to the coastal look and feel.

This edit is about creating a home that feels easy to live in, but elevated in how it looks and functions.
